The Palms golf course at Sanctuary Cove Golf & Country Club underwent a multi-million-dollar reconstruction at the turn of the decade and was redesigned by renowned golf course architect Ross Watson. Since its reopening in April 2011, The Palms is considered a championship course rivalling some of the best golf courses in Australia and is now ranked in Australian Golf Digest’s Top 50 golf courses. It has a rustic bunkering style and numerous water features and hazards. Although not overly long, tee placements have been designed to suit a variety of playing conditions and a diverse range of players. Nestled within century old Cabbage Palms with distinctive holes, deep greenside bunkers and boldly contoured greens, The Palms at Sanctuary Cove is truly ‘a thinking golfer’s course’, requiring creative shot making and excellent course management.
